The objective of this report is to show the results of the overall programmatic food systems or value chain approach used, complementing the individual efforts of the partners (European Union, FAO, GIZ, ILO, IOM, ITC, UNESCO, and Cowater International). This report serves as a baseline study to highlight the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges to the agrifood sector, as well as the broader environment in which it operates and to conduct qualitative meta data analysis of existing agricultural value chain assessments and reports conducted from 2019 onwards, with the specific focus on the livestock/dairy, poultry, tomato and date value chains, to outline the current status of the agrifood sector.
