A FLEETING MOMENT (Fictional Stories) is written by Fahim Akhter and published by Naamak Publications. It's available with International Standard Book Number or ISBN identification 8197847657 (ISBN 10) and 9788197847653 (ISBN 13).
Fahim Akhter may or may not be like the common fiction writers of today. He is in the sense that he has written about the world around him and its problems. No, because there is a bit humour, a bit sadness, and a little sense of beauty present in his fiction. This attribute is not usually seen in common fiction writers. In some of his fictions, for example, 'Doorbell', the ending is somewhat surprising and humorous. In 'Beauty Parlour', satirical humour dominates the rest of the elements. But still, this aspect is interesting that the main character, apart from its dotage, has the quality of getting into everything like a useless old man. (If it is called an attribute) In 'Circle Line', there is a subtle romantic aspect, on which the unexpected tragedy of modern life has also been beautifully painted. Like many non-resident Indian writers, Fahim Akhter has not made only the problems of non-resident Indians his subject. He can also deal directly with the issues of human life. In some places sentimentality prevails (e.g. Devadasi) and in some places the human aspect becomes more prominent. I congratulate Fahim Akhter for his successful collection!
