About S. M. Sze Dr Simon Min Sze graduated as an electrical engineer from the National Taiwan University in 1957 and completed his masters in 1960 from the University of Washington. He has a doctorate from Stanford and had worked for Bell Labs for about 27 years. Dr Sze, along with Dawon Kahng discovered the floating-gate transistor. He received the J J Ebers Award in 1991 for his work on electronic devices. He has also authored VLSI Technology 2nd Edition, Semiconductor Sensors, High-Speed Semiconductor Devices and Modern Semiconductor Device Physics among other books.
