Criminal Procedure is written by James Tomkovicz and published by . It's available with International Standard Book Number or ISBN identification 1531032621 (ISBN 10) and 9781531032623 (ISBN 13).
The tenth edition of this criminal procedure casebook is the product of collaboration between one of the original authors and an energetic new partner--Professor Jessica Berch. Despite the change in authors, this edition remains true to its roots, allowing the Supreme Court to largely speak for itself through its opinions, while providing focused, concise commentary and cutting-edge practice problems for each of the topics. This edition has one dramatic difference--the elimination of two chapters pertaining to largely dormant topics addressing constitutional protections against eyewitness identification processes. (Anyone wishing to teach these topics, however, may obtain copies of the deleted chapters from the publisher or authors.) In other respects, the tenth edition of the casebook is very much like its predecessors. Since the Supreme Court has not been particularly active in the criminal procedure space, no new main opinions have been added, but the rulings and reasoning of the relatively few Supreme Court opinions are described in new substantive notes. In addition, the problems have been refreshed with novel fact situations and issues drawn from recent lower court decisions, and the bibliographies have been updated with citations to new, pertinent articles.
