The CO2 content of the atmosphere is rising fast and will probably reach 500 ppm before 2060. This may push global warming to 3-4 0C in 2100. We must scrub CO2 out of the air, down to 350 ppm, to prevent an unliveable world. Renewables and nuclear power are fine, but they don't lower the carbon concentration in the air. As things stand now they actually increase it, only less rapidly than the outright burning of fossil fuels"--
